SYG-LED Gothic

The trefoil (Gothic) arches and lacy structure of this luminaire impart a medieval motif to any campus, museum, building complex, or historic restoration. At Yale University, it was selected for a recent relighting project because it was in authentic harmony with the Gothic Revival architecture visible throughout the campus.

The Gothic luminaire, with high-strength cast aluminum structure and polycarbonate globe, is built to the most stringent specifications for durability and vandal resistance. Several decorative bases as well as a versatile utility base are available for appropriate mating with a variety of ornamental posts.

Gothic LED luminaires provide several choices of the most current light engine technology to deliver high lumen output, exceptional light distribution, superior visual comfort, extended service life, and energy reduction.

Construction

All components and decorative base shall be high-strength ASTM 356.1 cast aluminum. Luminaire shall be fully welded creating one integral housing. Injection-molded polycarbonate globe, large dome and top cap shall create a weather tight chamber for the LED components, driver(s) and internal optics. IP66 available.


LED components and driver(s) are securely affixed to the mechanical structures. A thermal management system dissipates heat to insure compliance with ratings of the LED components and driver(s).

Optical

Injection-molded UV stabilized polycarbonate or high impact acrylic globe. Standard globe finish (Inside Scrubbed) creates a subtle light diffusing effect.

Available in symmetric and asymmetric reflector/refractor configurations to optimize performance, distribution, and visual comfort.

Electrical

Meets UL 1598 for Safety. Luminaire shall utilize voltage sensing 120-277V driver, suitably rated for the specified LED light engine(s).  Luminaires shall be prewired and factory tested.

Surge Protection

Surge current rating of 20 kA using standard 8/20 µSec wave.  Protected line-neutral, line-ground, and neutral-ground in accordance with ANSI/IEEE 62.41, Category C3.

Finish

To insure product durability, all exposed metallic surfaces shall be finished with a high performance coating consisting of high gloss Super Durable polyester powder coat paint to be applied utilizing a multistage process that includes phosphate pretreatment, electrostatic powder application, and convection curing.  Paint shall be weather, corrosion, abrasion, and UV resistant in compliance with the American Architectural Manufacturers Association’s specification AAMA 2604-05.  Color to be specified.

Mounting

Mounts to a Ø3” by 3” tall tenon. Three (3) 3/8”-16 UNC stainless steel allen head cup point set screws secure luminaire to post top tenon. All mounting hardware shall be stainless steel.
