SUD Under Deck Light

SUD Under Deck Light, designed specifically for lighting large outdoor areas such as underneath overpasses, tunnels and bridges. This under deck light delivers a wide beam spread and high levels of light for effective broad area illumination. Meets recognized Rain Test and Vibration/ Shock Standards.

Available with High-Pressure Sodium, or, Metal Halide lamp sources.

Cast and fabricated aluminum construction. Luminaire comprised of  rectangular housing and cover. Housing divided into two parts, ballast assembly and lamp/reflector system. Easily removalable ballast tray for maintenance. Cover incorporates full view tempered glass lens and weatherproof gasket. Cover hinged to housing and secured with four (4) finger latches.


Luminaire consists of a rectangular housing with cover. Housing constructed from cast and fabricated aluminum. Housing shall be divided into two parts. The first part shall contain the ballast assembly, the second part shall contain the lamp/reflector system. Ballast, fuse holder and terminal block mounted on easily removable ballast tray for maintenance. Cover shall be an aluminum frame with full view tempered glass lens. Cover incorporates a weatherproof gasket. Cover shall be hinged to housing and secured with (4) finger latches. There shall be a 3/4" Myer Hub In one end of the housing.

- UL 1598 for Safety, Section 13.5.2 Test.

- American National Standard for Roadway Lighting Equipment Luminaire Vibration, ANSI C136.31-2001, Section 5.

- New York City Vibration / Shock Test For Roadway Luminaire.


Available in High Intensity Discharge (HID).

Fixture shall have a horizontally mounted lamp and reflector creating an asymmetrical distribution.


Meets UL 1598 for Safety. Luminaire shall have porcelain socket rated for 600V with 4kV pulse and uses a nickel-plated screw shell with spring-loaded center contact and lamp grips. Luminaires shall be prewired and factory tested. The ballast shall be a high power factor, constant wattage autotransformer type. The power factor shall be at least 90%.


To insure product durability, all exposed metallic surfaces shall be finished with a high performance coating consisting of high gloss Super Durable polyester powder coat paint to be applied utilizing a multistage process that includes phosphate pretreatment, electrostatic powder application, and convection curing. Paint shall be weather, corrosion, abrasion, and UV resistant in compliance with the American Architectural Manufacturers Association’s specification AAMA 2604-05. Color to be specified.


Mounts using two (2) side "L Type" brackets. Cast-In mounting orientation stops (0°, 45°, 55°) in each end of housing. All mounting holes shall be Ø1/2.
