FREEPORT, NY, December 15, 2009 – Sentry Electric, one of America’s oldest and most knowledgeable manufacturers of outdoor lighting fixtures, has contributed an enduring component to the tradition of Yankee excellence.  The company has delivered a series of custom designed, historically styled lampposts for the newly constructed Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY.  As a long established manufacturer for high profile landscape lighting projects throughout New York City and other prestigious metropolitan areas, Sentry is proud to have been part of the high profile Yankee Stadium construction project, supporting this year’s championship organization.  The new Yankee Ball Park had its Grand Opening in April of 2009 and was the setting of the Yankees’ winning game during the 27th World Series in November 2009.

The elegant set of Sentry lampposts included poles and luminaires.  Signage bearing the stadium name was hung from custom metal accessories.  Fixtures were installed around the outside of the stadium and along the property’s walkways as part of over a billion dollar landscape design project involving contractors throughout the New York area.  The lamps bear signposts that direct fans to various gates; some display banners that celebrate Yankee nostalgia with images of famous players such as Babe Ruth.  Project designers selected the distinguished SLR Riverside tulip style luminaire, which also illuminates a three mile stretch of Manhattan’s Riverside Drive.  Sentry Electric’s installation was completed on schedule and on budget in April 2008.
